Throughout her life, Brooke has always been involved in dance and fitness and loves to try new activities. She took her first barre class six years ago and completely fell in love with it. She feels that staying physically active is important for not only a healthy life, but also a happy one! High-energy and passion are the fuel to her barre classes. She wants you to leave class feeling reinvigorated, accomplished... and of course a little sore! Outside of the studio, Brooke is a graphic designer, amateur home chef, and outdoor enthusiast.

Rodney joined the fitness community after moving to Portland from Michigan 5 years ago. Shortly after getting his first gym membership he realized just how much he loved living an active lifestyle and found himself working out nearly everyday. He began introducing friends to the fitness world and realized how much he loved helping connect friends to their fitness goals. He got his NASM personal trainer certification in spring of 2017 focusing on small group fitness. Over the last year he has been living his dream job of teaching Bootcamps, Athletic Training, and Spin. He's always been one to help others and has found that being a personal trainer/ fitness coach is the most rewarding career and the perfect way to show his passion for personal well being. When he's not in the studio, you can find him hiking the beautiful trails Oregon and Washington have to offer, playing Rugby for The Portland LumberJacks, running obstacle course races, and hanging out with friends.

Riza has been active in martial arts and dance throughout her life. She was always interested in fitness and wanted to find different ways to stay healthy and happy. Her interest in barre started at the beginning of 2018 where she saw how barre incorporated ballet style movements with a high intensity work out. She fell in love with barre and has been passionate about it ever since. Riza's engineering mentor began teaching yoga and told her about how rewarding teaching can be. Riza was inspired by her mentor and the happiness teaching brought her.
She enjoys creating a class that gives you a great burn, but also highlights the dance aspect of barre. Her goal is to help you accomplish your fitness goals while laughing and having a fun workout. Riza believes working out shouldn't be a chore, it should be a lifestyle and a fun addition to your busy work schedule.
Outside of the studio, Riza is a civil engineering project designer, amateur food enthusiast, and adventure seeker.

Growing up, Ric was always an active kid but never enjoyed playing organized sports much. It wasn’t until he started strength and conditioning training that he discovered his love for health and fitness. After a return to school a few years back, he decided to take his love for health and fitness to the next level by not only improving his own physical fitness and health but by also helping others to reach their fitness goals and needs. In addition to completing a B.S. in Health Studies with a concentration in Physical Activity & Exercise, Ric has spent the last few years teaching group fitness in a variety of modalities including TRX and Cycle, as well as working with clients in small groups and 1-on-1.

Fitness and health have always been a huge part of Kayla’s life. Kayla found her love of studio classes when she lived in New York City, and gym memberships in Manhattan were far too expensive for a grad school budget. An avid yogi and lover of all things dance, Kayla took on teaching barre as a challenge to herself to branch out and spread the joy of movement to others. When she isn’t at the barre, Kayla can be found obsessing over her dog Braxton, being a “feelings-doctor” to small children, and consuming Americanos.

Beth Ann is passionate about empowering and inspiring others through indoor cycling. A long-time runner, she and fell in love with spinning while searching for an indoor activity during the rainy winter months. Her favorite part about spinning is focusing on riding to the beat for 45 minutes; it’s an amazing mental escape that leaves you feeling fast and strong. Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Beth Ann moved to Portland in 2013 and loves everything that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. On her free time, Beth Ann loves cooking, hiking, camping, and traveling.

Since a young age, Anne has enjoyed the whole-body benefits of an active lifestyle. She takes her love of movement both outdoors by cross-country skiing, rock climbing, and hiking--and indoors by teaching and taking group fitness classes. She pursued a barre instructor certification while living in Philadelphia four years ago, and later taught in two studios while living in Brooklyn, NY. Her style incorporates challenging her students to find their edge, mindful breathing, and lightheartedness. She loves being a part of fitness studio communities and is thrilled to be part of the Fulcrum team!

As a former figure skater and volleyball player, Nini has always had a passion for heath and fitness. As a compliment to her active lifestyle, Nini was drawn to becoming a Cycling instructor both due to her love for the bike, as well as her desire to motivate others in their fitness pursuits— no matter what level they’re at! Never a fan of pretentious workout environments, Nini keeps her classes fun, positive, and motivationally challenging to encourage her students to strive for their personal best. Whenever Nini’s not at the studio, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with her close friends & family here in PDX, cutting a rug at a live show, discovering new cities on other continents, or probably at a nursery investing in far too many plants for her home. But then again, can one have “too many” plants? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A Michigan native, Christina’s involvement in fitness has always been a part of her life, starting in the pool in the US Swimming youth ranks and has reached outward from adulthood, where she coached triathletes in NYC, and continued instruction through indoor cycling, barre, and Lagree fitness after moving to Portland. As a full time finance professional, she also understands how to incorporate fitness into your 40-hour workweek. With that, her goal is to take what you do in the studio and apply it to your life in real ways – from squats to skiing and hill climbs to hiking.
When she is not working or in a studio, you can find her outside exploring what Oregon has to offer, along with finding the newest local brewery to visit with her husband.

Lydia is a group fitness instructor based in PDX who is committed tobringing a little more sweat and laughter into everyone's lives.
As a teenager, she loved to run and practiced and taught tae kwon do. After a knee injury sidelined her for months, she discovered functional movement practices and learned that stretching is awesome. While living in Montreal as a college student, (and dealing with severe health issues), she slowed it down and focused solely on yoga, studying Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga simultaneously, learning breath, focus and alignment from two very different styles of yoga.
She moved to PDX in 2010 where she began to practice power vinyasa yoga, trained and performed as a tribal bellydancer and found Booty Luv® Fitness. Her increased interest in health & wellness lead her to multiple yoga teacher trainings through CorePower Yoga (200 hour Power Yoga, Teacher Training Extensions and Level 2 Teacher Training) and becoming certified to teach Booty Luv® from Heather Craig. In the Spring of 2018 she took Spin Teacher Training through Mob Cycle. Now she teaches Booty Luv® Fitness, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Sculpt and an core-focused class, Ab Attack, in PDX with an emphasis on functionality and fun.

Movement and music have always been a part of Hallie's life. While she enjoyed the team aspects of competitive sports growing up, her true passion lies in the inspiration that comes from marrying music and movement together. Hallie's motivation to share her love of movement stems from her own personal journey to learn to enjoy and appreciate her own ability to connect with her self in a centered, empowered and body-positive way. The combination of music and movement has always created feelings of strength, power and joy throughout her life inspiring her to share her enthusiasm and to encourage others along that journey. Now, as a spin and zumba instructor she strives to create an atmosphere of pleasure and uninhibited fun in her classes where people of all backgrounds and physical ability feel welcomed to explore their own physicality. Music selection is a central part of Hallie's expression of enjoyment and connection to body and spirit.

Lizzy grew up as a competitive gymnast in Northern California & moved to Portland for work (and to enjoy the beautiful PNW). After suffering from multiple chronic injuries, Lizzy became a Barre and Spin instructor to inspire people of all activity levels to be fit and live well through low-impact activities and practicing mindfulness. When she's not taking or teaching classes at Fulcrum, you can find Lizzy exploring coffee shops, facetiming her twin sister, taking spontaneous trips, and exploring Portland with her friends!

Teresa has been practicing yoga for 18 years, most of that time through a guided home practice. After joining a gym offering fitness and yoga classes, she discovered the enjoyment of practicing yoga with others and having a teacher present to give more personal cues. Passion for learning more about yoga and being able to bring yoga asana to others prompted Teresa to complete a 200 hr yoga teacher certification, opening her eyes to a whole new world with so much more to learn. Balance in life is a key for Teresa as she also practices as an Occupational and Craniosacral therapist. Her passion for learning, growth and supporting others’ well-being is evident in her work. Outside of the gym and work, Teresa enjoys traveling, exploring, free days at the beach, live music, dancing and of course spending time with family and friends.
